ZAPPA RESOURCES - Is a Cdn junior mining company listed on the Vancouver Stock Exchange. ZPA (VSE). Currently there are three main exploration properties located in Ecuador.
1. La Plata property (50% ZPA - 50% CBJ) - Cambior who is funding exploration, has recently completed an eight hole drill program, with assays pending aruond November 28/96. A second drill program has been arranged to start shortly. A previous drill hole produced amazing grades of 6.9% copper, 5% zinc, .13 oz gold/ton and 1.65 oz silver/ton, over forty meters and still open at depth.
2. Guadalupe Concession (49% ZPA - 51% EMC) - A company by the name of Ecudorian Minerals is paying for all the work on Zappa's second property. They have proven this area to contain over 1.5 million ounces of gold. Ecudorian is presently doing a pre feasibility study to be completed mid December.
3. Mollopongo/Papa Grande property - Zappa completed a summer trenching program outlining a couple of mineralized zones with grades of 2 to 3 grams gold/ton over eighty meter sections. A drill program is set to start by the end of October 1996.
CONCLUSION
Zappa is currently trading at $0.65 Cdn, with around 18 million shares issued. The market is only giving Zappa a capitalization of around 12 million. With a potential for over 200 to 300 million capitalization Zappa looks like a steal.
