The primary purpose of this thread is to create an environment whereby participants can gain knowledge about the general market and individual stocks and try to help everyone increase the return in their personal portfolios. We also hope to educate newcomers to the market and have fun at the same time. We encourage participation from all serious investors. Those people who habitually play games or violate the "rules" of the thread should simply be ignored. This is a serious thread for serious investors only.
The goals of the thread will be attained through the use of an active trading portfolio of stocks selected by the thread's participants, a watch list of stocks that may be added to the trading portfolio, and an open discussion about stocks based on fundamental and technical research. A more detailed description of the thread is provided in Post # 1. The manner in which we conduct this thread may evolve over time using a democratic process so please take Post # 1 as a starting point only. We welcome experienced investors, newcomers, and lurkers.
