I am looking for input on this stock. Gentry is a Calgary based crude oil and natural gas company active in the production, development, exploration and acquition of reserves in Western Canada. Gentry focuses on high quality, long life reserves with significant potential for increased production through infill drilling and enhanced recovery programs. The Company balances low-risk growth in production and cash flow with high-reward opporunities generated through selective participation in larger exploration projects in Canada and internationally. Gentry began as a private company in 1979 and listed on the Vancouver Exchange in 1992 (V.GNY). In 1995, Gentry qualified for a Toronto listing with the symbol GNY.B. Since 1992 it has doubled production revenue and cash flow every year. This stock has only 13.8 million shares outstanding of which 55% are management held.
Hugh Ross (Jr), the president of gentry will be back in Canada
February 18, 1997. Hugh was in Africa securing strategic land packages and joint venture on-shore and off-shore drilling/production packages. These new Africa properties should give Gentry the much needed "sizzle" to the steak. I am hoping these African oil properties will give Gentry the increased audience coupled with an increased stock price! Gentry currently trades at $0.83. I am a long time shareholder and would value any input on this stock!
