Return to Speedfam Options Discussions

In order to keep the Speedfam thread focused on the fundamentals
of this excellent little company, yet still provide a venue for
the discussion of options strategies, I am starting this new
thread. Let's try to keep the topics somewhat pure: reasoned long-
term analysis of SFAM in the SFAM folder; options strategies and
shorter-term indications of SFAM prospects in this one.

The PHLX and CBOE started trading options on SFAM February 24. So
far, the open interest is a whopping 19 contracts in all call options
combined. The option symbol prefix for SFAM options is FQF, and there
are options for Mar, Apr, Jul, and Oct for the 35, 40, and 45 strikes.
The symbols are as follows:

Mar Apr Jul Oct
Calls 35 FQFCG FQFDG FQFGG FQFJG
40 FQFCH FQFDH FQFGH FQFJH
45 FQFCI FQFDI FQFGI FQFJI
Puts 35 FQFOG FQFPG FQFSG FQFVG
40 FQFOH FQFPH FQFSH FQFVH
45 FQFOI FQFPI FQFSI FQFVI

Keep in mind that the vast majority of people that use options to
speculate on stocks lose their shirts. Make sure you understand the
downside potential of all options positions before you enter into them,
and limit the money you commit to a small percentage of your
portfolio--so small that you won't lose sleep if you lose it all.

Profitable investing,
Mr. Sam
