The business wires report the news as they happen. Most of us cannot sit in front of the computer and read and analyse all that's coming out. Every so often something comes out that is bound to have a big impact on a stock on that day.
For example, today SYQUEST announced a breakthrough 4.7 Gigabyte Removable Cartridge. Major news. The stock went up over 40% - TODAY.
On the 24th PIXAR announced a contract with Disney, which will generate substantially higher profits. PIXAR went up nearly 7 points, 49% - ON THAT DAY. Major news, major reaction.
But there is usually a small lag between the news and the big rise.
I'd like to capture that information here. If anyone sees one of these on the news - really big, reactionary kind of stuff, please post it here, immediately after you put in your big buy. Then let US share in your good fortune (and we'll help the stock by buying it as well)
But it has to be pretty immediate, or the greatest benefit wil be lost. Also, no rumors or potential. Only facts.

FDA approval of really important drugs
Technological breakthroughs going to market
Major contracts
Major mining exploration finds
