I believe that dividends can be a short term way of earning large PROFITS$$ with little or no risk.[See examples below.]
This thread should be for all those people who have knowledge or information about dividends and would like to post this information. Include the amount payable, dividend payable date and shareholder of record date.
The goal of this forum will be to make money on regular dividends and strive to find information about "special dividends" that are payed to shareholders as a result of large asset sales, settling of lawsuits, etc. These can be substantial and result in amazing profits as the following examples will show:
VALU- purchase 400 shares $44 2/12/96
sell 400 shares $44 12/27/96
dividend $15 owner of record 12/26/96
Profit $6,000
MSW- purchase 1,000 shares $12 1/12/97
sell 1,000 shares $12 1/20/97
dividend $9 owner of record 2/19/97
Profit $9,000
My PROFITS: 75% on these two stocks, I would like to find more like this in the future, would'nt you. Thats the purpose of this thread.
Post all regular dividend information on this thread, DO NOT POST information on any "special dividend" on this thread, Email me first with this information, we will Email each other.
