There's a lot of hype about gold stocks with all the news about Bre-X, etc, etc, but let's not forget about another sector that's making a strong comeback - REAL ESTATE!! Many analysts are saying that this year is the year for real estate and REITs... I tend to agree! One of my favourite real estate stocks is GENTRA (GTA) on the TSE... This used to be the old Royal Trust (what a mess that was)... Management in Gentra is outstanding... They're completely out of restructuring/reorganization and are now functioning as a profitable company with an incredible balance sheet... They've liquidated all the old Royal Trust money losing assets ahead of schedule and have been posting good earning results for the past 2-3 quarters... Currently trading at around 3.20, it hit a high of $3.50 before the "correction" in the markets... In the past couple of months, the stock has almost doubled in value... This is a hot stock to look into... Under priced but poised to be a major player...
