I'd be interested in hearing from folks who have studied the various companies developing voice recognition. Fonix, Kurzweil, Lernout & Hauspie, and perhaps others all have their own threads, but I think we could all do better picking the winning horse(s) if we discussed strengths and weaknesses of our favorites with each other. My money's on FONX right now, because it appears that they have a continuous speech product about to get a patent, and to market shortly thereafter. But the management has made some questionable financial decisions lately, so I'd change horses (or maybe try to straddle a couple) if someone could convince me that their favorite was better.
