Will Hills Stores ever again be worth its book value of $20.00 per share? Or is it just a matter of time before there are adjustments to asset value which bring the book value down to the share price of $4.50? The 5/20/97 earnings report of $.95 loss for the 1st quarter of 1997 has some very favorable aspects to it. It would seem to put the company in position to break even for the full calendar year of 1997. If so, isn't a share of stock which has $200.00 in gross sales per year worth more than $4.50? |
