Return to Armchair Analyst's Club (T/A & Fundamentals)(Pennies)

Well folks here it is. Hopefully a place that we can come and talk about
what we preceive or think we preceive in the stars, OPPS, I mean charts.
It seems that when you try to talk about them on the home threads there
is always someone there yawning or disbeleiving that the charts are of any
value on these pennies. Well I have to disagree. Just about all buying
and selling is done by what is preceived in the charts. That is why they're
there and that is what is used to make recommendations other then fundamentals.

There are 2 major things that gets us interested in a stock in the first
place.
1. A good looking chart
2. Good fundamentals.

There are 4 major things that influencees the movement of a stock.
1. The charts
2. Fundamentals
3. News
4. Rumors of news

Now the intention of this thread is to draw upon these rascals in a
rational way and put them all together so we might be able to make better
calls in the way we trade. Hopefully helping each other understand what
it is that we see or think we see. This thread is not intended to replace
the thread that you chat on and express your views at to why you like it
or dislike it nor is this here to hype or trash a stock. Just look at the
T/As & Fundamentals of the stock and determine if we should buy or sell it.
In some cases buy more although as a general rule I don't chase stocks
whether they move up or down. I generally take a position and wait for
it to do whatever it is that it is going to do. Sometimes impatiently I
might add.

For the last 3 years I was using Excel 4.0 to do my T/A. I don't have
to tell you that I always felt I was one bite away from a meal. Well now
I have finially broken down and bought some software. Since I have it,it has
been the difference between night and day. Like someone just opened the
blinds. I also got a RAW DATA PROVIDER. Now before anyone asks and there
have been many I'll tell what they are.

The software is "WINDOW ON WALL STREET" & the data provider is "DIAL-DATA".
DIAL-DATA give me access to all major exchanges in the world and all Canadian.
The software is the Personal edition, (there are several) and cost me 40.00+tax.
I have only had both for about a week so I am still learning how to use
the software and still trying out the data provider. So that has led me
to look for other individuals that have software and compare notes on
what I am doing and seeing. When you look at the internal structure of
a stock it makes all the difference in the way you trade it. There is a
big difference looking at a stock from the inside verses from the outside
and that is what most of us do. IT'S GOING DOWN, I BETTER SELL. IT'S GOING
UP SO I BETTER BUY. When you buy it, it goes down and when you sell it,
it goes up. That is looking at it from the outside. If the fundamentals
of a company are good then the T/As should tell us when to get in or out
based on the amount of profit we want to make so we can come back another
day and do it again.

So there you have it. Oh! I forgot. There are some rules for this thread.

1) No hyping or trashing stock.

2) No verbal brawls.

3) Stick to the facts. Please no B.S. It benifits no-one.

4) If you bring a stock to descussion stay with it until it is done.

5) One stock at a time. No free for all. It just causes caous and we get
nowhere.

6) Draw conclusions based on fundamentals and t/a not conjector. After
all that is what this thread is ment to be.

7) Participants should have some sort of software program but not necessary.
That way we can all look at it together, the same charts and we all
know what each other is talking about. Remember its all our heads together.
We all look at the same thing.

8) Lurkers are welcomed and encouraged to ask and participate. After all
this is ARMCHAIR ANALYST 101.

9) Professionals are welcomed if there are any out there. We need all the
help we can get. Me especially.

10) And last, no profanity, keep it civil.

If these rules are acceptable then get the beer and pretzels and lets
party. As Monty Hall would say "Come on down", "Lets make a deal".

This thread is meant to help each other out, have fun and most of all
MAKE MONEY ;-)). So lets get started. Maybe I'll see you at the bank.

May the stock godds smile on us all in are investing/speculating quests,

Ron

PS
By all means I don't want to offend the T/A godds ;-). May they smile
on us also.
