Return to Triton Energy (OIL) - Elephant stalker

I'm surprised that no one has started a message board on OIL which could be one of the most undervalued of NYSE listed oil stocks.

From the company's profile at tritonenergy.com

"Formed in 1962 in Dallas, Texas, Triton has participated in the discovery of several major oil and natural-gas fields around the world. Today we continue to search for hydrocarbon "elephants" -- discoveries with reserve potential of at least 100 million equivalent barrels of oil."

Besides Triton's 12% participation in Cusiana and Cupiaga field discoveries in Columbia (largest in Western hemisphere since Prudhoe Bay - expected to produce 500,000 bbod by 1998), it also has a 50% working interest with Petronas in major new Malaysian gas discoveries.

I have seen breakup value estimates for OIL at $75 - $115/share, yet the stock has languished in this year's market relative to the energy sector in general. Would welcome all views pro and con on this "Elephant stalker".
