Taken from Hoovers Company Capsule:
"Trendwest Resorts operates timeshare resorts that are owned by WorldMark, a not-for-profit mutual benefit company organized by Trendwest. Trendwest buys or develops resort units, which it gives to WorldMark in exchange for timesharecredits. The company then sells the credits to customers wishing to stay at one of its timeshare resorts. In order to spend time atthe company's resorts, customers purchase at least 6,000 credits for approximately $7,800. The credits can be used at any ofthe company's 20 or so resorts in California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, British Columbia, and Mexico; a one-night stay costs approximately 1,000 credits. Trendwest is a subsidiary of Jeld-Wen, which makes wooden doors and windows."
