And how to profit from either one. What effect will deflation/inflation have on stocks, bonds, metals, your life, the price of rice in China?

Today (1-17-2006) this thread was move into the politics/govt segment.
It might help generate some ideas to make a profit, maybe not, I don't care as this thread hasn't been doing much, but the original idea was good.
