This forum is devoted to the discussion of an all too frequent happening in this investment climate - the class action lawsuit. I have been involved in a few, but generally feel they do little to aid those who have been damaged - the investor. Rather, IMHO, they are mostly a conduit for attorneys to extract large fees, leaving "the class" with some of the settlement, which becomes minute on a per capita basis. In addition, I feel they divert management's attention from day to day operations when that attention is most needed - when the company is down. These are my opinions only, others are encouraged. |
