Jim Rogers is famous for his motorcycle trips around the world and the Quantum Fund which he ran with George Soros back in the 70's. He is reported to have started with $600 back in 1968 and retired in 1980 with millions. He periodically teaches finance at Columbia University and he regulary appears on CNBC on Fridays. He is known for his eccentric and outspoken investment ideas along with his bow ties.
