"Global TeleSystems Group (GTSG) provides telecommunications services (including local and long-distance services, cellular networks, and data networks) to businesses, other telecommunications providers, and consumers. In Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, GTS provides these services through EDN Sovintel, TeleCommunications of Moscow, TeleRoss, GTS Cellular, and Sovam Teleport, in which it owns varying stakes. In addition, GTS provides fiber-optic networks for other telecommunications carriers in Western Europe through its Hermes Railtel and GTS-Monaco Access ventures. It also provides telecommunications services in Central Europe and Asia."
