On January 28 1997, Kelso Technologies met with the various Association of American Railroads tank car committee members and others in order to give a presentation and explanation of Kelso's new JS75SRV valve. The presentation provided the members with their first view of the JS75SRV and allowed for various questions to be asked. The presentation was scheduled to last 10 minutes, but due to the enthusiasm of everyone, lasted approximately 40 minutes.
At the conclusion of the presentation, Kelso submitted packages to the AAR tank car committee members which included drawings of the valve, the certified testing results done at an independent lab in Colorado, and other pertinent information in order for the AAR to give approval to Kelso for installation of the JS75SRV valves on various tank cars in order to begin the AAR one and two year service trial test under real road conditions.
This was another major step forward towards the certification and eventual commercialization of the JS75SRV.
