I just found a stock that has expected earnings of 65 cents for the 1998, and is trading at $3.50. Last year, it earned 51 cents per share. It is a virtually unheard of company. The name of the company is HomeCapital (Symbol is HCAP). They are a growing lender, primarily Title 1 Loans. They are based out of Austin Tx.
I note that the stock had traded as high as $10 during the past 12 months, and was as low as $2.75.
I would be interested in anyone's thoughts regarding this company. They are gearing up for future growth. They are a Texas lender as well and are getting into home equity loans (which just became possible in 1998 due to a Texas constitution amendment). They are audited by the big six firm, Coopers and Lybrand.
