This is a European ISP stock which has recently shown signs of life.
It changed its symbol from HTEL in July 1997.
It has basically discontinued its residential and telephone construction operations although it is still relegated to that sector in Yahoo!
So far the company's main focus is in Hungary. Per Edgar "On January 2, 1997, the Company acquired three Hungarian Internet service companies ("Internet providers"), namely, EUnet, E-Net and MS Telecom for a purchase price of approximately $1,585,000, consisting of 144,000 shares of common stock of the Company and $1,225,000 in cash."
EUnet was the leading provider of leased line Internet services in Hungary. E-Net was recognized as the premier developer of Web sites in Hungary, providing content, design and database functions, as well as Web site hosting services. MS Telecom was one of the largest providers of dial-up Internet access services in Hungary.
Per its latest 10Q in Sept 1997 EWEB earned: -.10 for the Q -.54 for the 1st 9 months
This compares to 1996 -.67 for the Q -1.19 for the 1st 9 months
As of 9/30/1997 Shares Outstanding are 4.68M, Float is around 3.4M
The company is incorporated in Delaware, and is NASDAQ listed and fully reporting to the SEC. (rare for these kind of Internet plays!)
