Brookdale Living Communities, Inc. is a provider of senior independent
and assisted living services to the elderly, with approximately 14
facilities in eight states containing an aggregate of approximately
3,100 units in upscale urban and suburban communities. Brookdale
facilities are approximately 99.6 percent private pay, and were over 96
percent occupied as of December 31, 1997. The Company anticipates
initiating the development of at least two to three additional
facilities per year, containing approximately 220 units each. The
Company also expects to acquire or lease three to five facilities per
year totaling 800 to 1,200 units. |
