WAYNE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1998--PICK Communications Corp. (OTCBB:PICK - news), announced today that the Company has completed satellite connections to its first Middle East country and has begun sending and receiving telecommunications traffic. The traffic on this new network will consist of fax, data, video and voice and is part of PICK's exclusive, multi-year contract with a major Middle Eastern communications company providing PICK with the ability to offer communications transport to Middle Eastern, African and Asian countries at extremely competitive rates.

From its International Gateway switch in Jersey City, PICK has connected to Teleglobe International, Corp.'s Pennant Point Complex for earth station access and uplink to an Intelsat satellite. ''The realization of this connectivity is a major step toward fulfilling the Company's goals for increasing sales in 1998 and continues PICK's long term strategy to focus primarily on its network and international direct connect agreements'', stated PICK's Vice President of Operations, Karen M. Quinn.

PICK Communications Corp. is a facilities-based telecommunications carrier headquartered in Wayne, NJ with international gateway switches located in Jersey City, NJ and Miami, FL. PICK provides international long distance services to other carriers and resellers, and has distributed prepaid telephone calling cards nationally since 1992.
