POFM --- Pacesetter Ostrich Farm
Has anybody ever heard of this company?
They have a 52 week high of around 4 1/2 bucks and are now trading .38 x .50. Current price is slightly under book. [Today you can buy about a thousand shares for what others paid for only 100 about a year ago.]
They have been struggling to survive in what is a relatively new market. To date they have been just breaking even. Their primary market has been world wide sales of live birds, but they are seeking to change that by aquiring Zion View Ostrich Ranch, which is one of the top producers of Ostrich products in the US.
I am told that this aquisition would give them an outlet for the sale of Ostrich meat and leather in the US, which is not currently part of the marketing scheme.
The marriage of the two companies has brought investors into the stock and brought it off its bottom [ .25 ]
IF things go well here, and the CEO is sounding upbeat, I think the stock price will begin to rise accordingly.
The sale of Ostrich meat is really just beginning. In fact, I saw Ostrich jerky in the store the other day for the first time. Ostrich eggs should make their way, eventually into all the hole-in-the-wall restaurants that cater to truckers.
Almost every part of the Ostrich is used -- feathers, leather, meat. Very little waste.
