SCC Communications provides 9-1-1 operations support systems services to US telephone companies, including incumbent local-exchange, competitive local-exchange, and wireless carriers. SCC's National Data Services Center manages the data that enables the routing of 9-1-1 phone calls to the appropriate public safety agency. The service center manages more than 70 million subscriber data records throughout North America. The company also licenses its software to independent telephone companies for in-house management of 9-1-1 services. Customers include Ameritech, BellSouth, MCI, ICG Telecom, U S WEST Wireless, and Sprint PCS.
