It appears to me that this company is virtually unheard of and hasn't traded at all until today. They seem to have been in the product development stage for some time now. Apparently they have graduated from the development product life cycle to putting their wares into the market place. This appears to be an emerging company to me.

Equitech International Corporation

Equitech International Corporation (Equitech) is a publicly traded company
located in Aiken, South Carolina. The Company was formed to take advantage
of the technologies and scientific resources available from the U.S.
Department of Energy's Westinghouse Savannah River Site National
Laboratory. Equitech started by employing leading scientists in the field
of fiber optics, electro current and biotechnology. These individuals have
developed dramatic and effective real-time solutions to challenges
confronting process manufacturers -cost reduction, quality improvements and
market expansion Equitech's technologies involve patented, patent pending
and proprietary real-time application that provide the Company with
significant competitive advantage and tremendous revenue opportunity.
Equitech's initial research and development has been completed and it is
currently entering the marketplace and generating revenue.

Equitech's "Think Tank" provides a forum where technology development meets
Wall Street - an incubator of technology developments requiring patenting,
licensing, product R&D, manufacturing and distribution.

Customers and users of Equitech spectroscopy products would be industrial
manufacturing companies, pharmaceutical companies, governments, laboratories, the chemical
industries, environmental institutions, consultant companies who perform
difficult trace level analyses reliably for example manufacturing pulp and
paper. Corporations' Quality Assurance Program Plans implement their
instruments to monitor manufacturing processes on the production floor.
In fact Equitech has a completely integrated, high performance spectroscopy
system. This allows the operator to perform analysis on processes directly
on the manufacturing floor or in the lab without having to analyze the
results with a computer at a remote location. Bottom line is that it is a
portable instrument self contained in one enclosure box.

Customers and users of Equitech electronics products would be commercial or
individual consumers who have sensitive equipment that is hooked into what
is known as "in line". Meaning a telephone line or cable line is attached
to the equipement. The equipment would for example be telephone system PBX
switches, a simple computer, answering machines, televisions. There are
products designed for AC line equipment for lighting systems and
air-conditioning systems or any motorized piece of equipment. In essence
these products represent varying types of surge protection from severe
voltage spikes and surges--especially during electrical storms.
