AEIC provides cargo transportation logistics management, including international air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage and warehousing and distribution services worldwide. For the three months ended 3/98, revenues rose 6% to $372.4 million. Net income rose 14% to $9.7 million. Results reflect increased number of international shipments and total weight of cargo shipped. Earnings also benefitted from income from equity investments.
