International STAR Announces Chain Of Custody
Precious Metal Results

PR Newswire - July 08, 1998 16:10

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- International STAR, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:
ISRI ) announced today that it has received a report on the physical recovery of precious metals
from chain of custody ore samples taken from its Arizona property located off US Highway 93
approximately twenty (20) miles south of Hoover Dam. STAR arranged with AuRIC Metallurgical
Laboratories, Salt Lake City, Utah, to conduct a complete "chain of custody" on a a two ton sample
collected on STAR's Arizona mineral property. The Company will focus entirely on putting this
property into production.

AuRIC selected its two ton ore sample from a trench 1000 yards long and 200 feet wide with a
depth of 40 feet. AuRic personnel collected samples in tamper-proof sealed containers. All test
samples remained in tamper-proof sealed containers under strict chain of custody at all times.
One-half ton of ore was then processed by a recovery process (vat leaching) method which AuRic
has stated represents a commercial recovery process for this mineralization. The process utilized will
likely be used for commercial development of the project and the Company intends to begin the
design and construction of a 40 ton per day pilot processing plant immediately. The design of the
pilot plant will be by STAR's President Mr. Milo M. Larsen (a process engineer) and AuRIC
Metallurgical Laboratories.

The recovery process on the one-half ton of ore produced a metal dore bar which when assayed
and measured back to headore revealed the following recovered metals:

Metals Recovered *Per 1,000 lbs headore* *Per short ton headore*

Troy oz Grams Troy oz Grams
Gold 0.406 12.628 0.812 25.256
Silver 0.712 22.146 1.424 44.291
Platinum 0.023 0.700 0.045 1.400
Palladium 0.009 0.280 0.018 0.560

The calculated headore value per ton using current metal prices is approximately $ 270 per ton.

AuRIC has calculated the recovery costs to be approximately $40 per processed ton. The
Company estimates that the total production and recovery cost to be approximately $75 per
processed ton.

AuRIC has shipped the metal bar to Chemex Laboratories in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
for analysis and third party confirmation.

Mr. Ahmet B. Altinay, Metallurgical Engineer and General Manager of AuRIC, stated, "The STAR
ore was processed using a simple conventional recovery process (vat leaching) method which we
believe represents a commercial recovery process for this mineralization. Separation of the various
precious metals is routine. We intend to conduct concentrate tests on the mineralization and run an
additional one-half ton bulk recovery test immediately."

The Company has contracted with Mr. Terry Christopher and Mr. Martin Blake, Canadian
geologists with LS Capital Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: CHIP) of Houston, Texas, to assist
the Company's evaluation of its property as well as the entire Detrital Basin Area where the
Company's property is located.
