Am I the only bonehead who has lost a small fortune (at least on paper) over the past few days? I have relatively "safe" stocks, defensive stocks, and some aggressive plays in my portfolio, but it doesn't seem to matter any which way I look.

I had one stock today, a defensive play on the non-volatile AMEX that lost 1/3rd of it's market cap today alone, about another 50% prior to today's losses. And this is a relatively good company, too.

I was looking at Cisco yesterday and wondering if it was a good buy after all of the recent declines. I thought so. But... I procrastinated this morning and didn't buy. Thank God for that procrastination habit... CSCO was down almost 13 points when last I looked.

I do have a lot of INTC, so I did take a blood bath there. But 100% of my mid cap and small cap stocks are down to less than what I paid for them more than 2 years ago. That's two years of paper profits wiped out in one day. ARRRGGHHH!!!!

Let's talk about our feelings... (my apologies to the originator's of that other popular thread)
