Particularly during periods of uncertainty, I have always found financially sound banks an interesting and sometimes enormously profitable place to park your money. Especially profitable when sound stocks take hits due to market conditions that have little to do with individual fundamentals.
Note also the Dividend Edge while waiting for the inevitable rebound after the hit. Finally, the trend towards consolidation makes this sector, IMO, one of the most attractive for both conservative and aggressive investors alike. |
