Hi,

Does anybody out there have any thing interesting to say about
Varian Associates? I had purchased some a while back, and while
I like the company line about their split and the supposed increase
in value for shareholders, I've seen surprisingly little on the
company itself (other than some employees whining on Yahoo! about how
mean management is to them), how their various divisions stack up
against the competition, etc.,.

I've been trying to clean the underperformers out of my portfolio,
and I can't seem to figure out if this one should go...
