Return to MyTrack Realtime Quote/Charting

I just want to share my experience with a new Real-time Data and Charting service that I started to use this week. I believe they are part of a company called Track Data that has been in business for a few years. A few weeks ago I tried a Web based program called Medved but found it too slow for daytrading. I subscribed to a web based real time quote service but the problem with the program is that it had to assemble the quote query, submit over the web to get the quote, and then for the screen to update. It was excrutiating slow.

I searched the Net for a low cost reliable streaming realtime service. I tried PCQuote but it was too expensive if you wanted the intraday charting feature. My search lead me to "MyTrack". I offered free delayed quotes and it provided quote pages and charting packing. I tried the delayed for a day and I was hooked. The next day, I signed up for the real-time service. They have different plans you can subscribe to. I signed up for the "Silver Plan" for about $45 a month plus exchange fees. I receive the quotes without delay. It also provides realtime index quotes (updated every 5 seconds). The realtime indexes provides me enough information that I don't need to subscribe to the CME's S&P future. The realtime indexes gives me an heads up idea of where the market is going so I can trade off of that information.

My broker is Brown & Co. where I pay $5.00 for market orders. For my purpose Brown's execution is fast enough for me (within 5 seconds) as I trade in and out of MSFT. Yes, Brown and Co. may not be as fast as dedicated brokers such as AB Wately but then again I don't have to pay $20 for a transaction and the $300 a month fee for their software.

MyTrack also has a Chat button that you can click on to retrieve a Public Chat station and up to 4 other private channel. The first day in the evening I clicked onto the Public Channel and the CoHost of the channel was very prompt and curteous in answering all my questions. After that session, I took the chance and signed up.

So far, I am very pleased with MyTrack. Let me make it clear that I am no way related to MyTrack but just a satisfied customer. However, if you should sign up with MyTrack, I would appreciated if you mention that you were refer by "MyTrackSnowy" a satisfied user.

I have been procratinating too long to pay for a realtime service. I am also a Datek customer but have not traded with them for over a year. I tried Datek's streamer but gave up on it because it may or may not be up.

Anybody else experience with Mytrack.
