High Speed Net Solutions Says Breakthrough Wavelet-Based TechnologyOutperforms Real Networks

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The leading distributors of streaming video have a new competitor, High Speed Net Solutions (OTC Bulletin Board: HSNS). The company recently contracted for exclusive license to distribute Summus' wavelet-based streaming video technology. The application produces a clearer picture and transmits more frames per second than Real Networks.

The new technology was developed by Dr. Bjorn Jawerth and his team at Summus Limited. "This new wavelet type technology creates an alphabet to describe video content. It gives us a language for video communication which is versatile yet concise", said Jawerth.

High Speed Net Solutions will soon begin offering the product to those that have previously utilized streaming applications from Microsoft (MSFT) and Real Networks (RNWK). HSNS President Michael Cimino clarified a segment of the firm's marketing strategy, "We know that installing our product so it automatically works with current Microsoft and Real Networks plug-ins will make replacement distribution seamless. There's no need for consumers to initially download a new viewer. Users will see improved performance. We are currently discussing licensing with others, yet since we are highly capable in the area of direct marketing and sales we don't want to solely rely on OEM revenues."

The wavelet-based solution also supplies full audio/video synchronization on modem to modem and Intranet transmissions. The company has also demonstrated the first full audio/video sync video mail software ever with the smallest file size in the world. The upcoming version 2.0 product will allow flill sync on windows-based machines that are 166 MHz or faster, and could open the door to interactive television programming.

Summus' products have also broken new ground in the area of image compression, with unparalleled ratios that could change communication. Voice compression for Internet telephony, video telephones, and video cell phones are in process. The technology could provide cell phone Internet PC connections at speeds above 28.8 BPS and store up to 20MB of information on a Smart Card, while doubling the storage capacity of discs and hard drives. Moreover the technology can triple the download speed of the Internet while reducing the bandwidth required by 70%. These applications aren't futuristic, they're either available or in development.

You can see an Internet demonstration of the technology versus applications of others by contacting Mr. Cimino via e-mail. The address is, ciminomike@aol.com.
