teltran.com to be World Wide Web Portal
With Amazon.com and GoTo.com Affiliation

Business Wire - February 04, 1999 08:20

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 4, 1999--Teltran International
Inc. (OTC BB:TLTG) Thursday announced that their home page
teltran.com will be entering the emerging field of Web Portals offering
services such as news, business, sports headlines, personalized links,
customized space, free e-mail, downloads, discussion groups, chat,
shopping, directories, membership services and more.

Teltran will release the latest version of their home page on Feb. 8.

Using Teltran's web portal, a user will be able to make teltran.com their
browser's home page using simple "point and click" technology. According
to Mitchell Hershkowitz, Teltran's director of Operations, "Being a web
portal will make it much easier for people to keep returning to our site. This
in turn will increase repeat traffic and visitor sessions to the Teltran web site
while increasing revenue from the sale of products as well as advertising.
Most importantly, we feel we will increase customer satisfaction."

According to media reports, over 50 percent of web users do not know
how to program their browser to automatically open to the web site of their
choice (a home page). Currently, manufacturers of browser software such
as Microsoft and Netscape program the user's initial home page to their
web site. Teltran will give users a simple way to make teltran.com their
home page and enhance their on-line experience through the special features
that Teltran will make available.

Teltran is also proud to announce the first two additions to their teltran.com
web portal, Amazon.com and GoTo.com. GoTo.com is the 24th most
visited site on the Web according to Relevant Knowledge and is the fastest,
easiest way to find the most relevant web sites on any topic. According to a
GoTo.com spokesperson, "We are excited to have Teltran International as
a part of the Affiliate Network and look forward to building a lasting and
profitable relationship. As an Affiliate of GoTo.com, we hope Teltran enjoys
the benefits of partnering with the pioneer of 'search made simple.'"

Amazon.com offers extensive book and music catalogs as well as a variety
of other resources including customer reviews, personal recommendations,
and gift suggestions. "Amazon.com is pleased to have teltran.com in the
family of Amazon.com associates," said Jeff Bezos, president of
Amazon.com.

"teltran.com's web portal will include only the most unique and pro-active
companies on the web today and seeks to provide its customer base with a
starting point that will incorporate all of their needs," according to Mitchell
Hershkowitz, Teltran's director of Operations. Licensed by the FCC as a
global facilities-based common carrier, Teltran offers a full range of
telecommunications services including Voice over IP, domestic and
international long distance, fax broadcast services, calling card programs
and satellite communications.
