Orbit Technologies Submits Calcine Test Results to Lockheed Martin

CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 1999--Orbit Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB:OBTY) announced today that it has submitted to Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company LMITCO), a division of Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE:LMT), the final report evaluating the use of Orbit's patent pending polymer encapsulation product with low-level calcine waste surrogate material.
Testing and analysis determined that Orbit's product produces a cohesive waste material suitable for long-term disposal. Preliminary cost estimates of the Company's product indicates significant cost savings of greater than 50% over current technologies for treating and storage of this waste. The Company is currently engaged in discussions with LMITCO on a statement of work which has the potential of leading to a more extensive and in-depth evaluation for the calcine waste stream.
In a separate announcement, a spokesperson for the Company reported that Orbit will meet the recent new Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rule proposal requiring OTC Bulletin Board(r) listed companies to file updated financial information with the SEC and other regulatory authorities. Orbit's 1998 Form 10-KSB (Annual Report) is scheduled to be filed by the reporting date of March 31, 1998.
