Finally, Mirimba is going public.
"Founded in 1996 by four members of the original Java development team at Sun Microsystems, Marimba makes software that lets companies install, update, and maintain software applications and content directly within a company or across the Internet. The company sells its products through a direct sales force in addition to distributors and resellers. Users of Marimba's Castanet family of products include Charles Schwab, Seagate Technology, and Home Depot. Marimba is led by co-founder Kim Polese, one of Silicon Valley's most visible CEOs (who also owns 13% of the company). Backers of the company include VC firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers."
