"STARFIELD RESOURCES" - THE NEXT DIAMOND FIELDS?
Starfield (SRU - Alberta) recently acquired a 100% undivided interest in the Ferguson Lake Project in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Encompassing 23,200 hectares, the Ferguson Lake mineral deposit was discovered by INCO roughly 50 years ago and it remained in their inventory until the mid-1990's. INCO completed 37,500 metres of drilling in the early 50's and Homestake did surface work in the 80's. The value of expenditures to date exceed CAD$15 million. The size of the deposit, containing significant copper, nickel, cobalt, platinum and palladium values, continues to increase with further exploration. The company has expanded the property to more than twice its original size and has recently discovered a new southern zone. Starfield has a small float and experienced management. It is rare to find a junior resource company gaining the rights to a property with so much potential. IMO this will be one of the biggest plays in Canadian mining over the next few years.
