CardioComm Delivers Internet Solution
CardioComm Solutions Inc. (VSE: CCG)is pleased to announce that CardioComm's patented compression algorithm makes it the only technology practical for use by medical professionals to manage electrocardiogram (ECG) signals over the Internet. Therefore CardioComm's management is currently working with several telemedicine providers to enable their Internet applications to manage ECG data and adopt CardioComm's management system as the standard. CardioComm's solution could significantly enhance the level of service offered in remote centres, as well, medical professionals can seek a second opinion from another Cardiologist or Electropysiologist anywhere in the world. The basis of CardioComm's management system is Mercator which was cleared for use and sale in the United States by the F.D.A. in January. Mercator is marketed as Global ECG Management System (GEMS). CardioComm's patented and proprietary ECG compression algorithm is utilized in products designed to record, analyze, and store electrocardiogram (ECG) signals for the detection and management of disorders related to heart rhythm, known as cardiac arrhythmias. The Company's CardioComm* Suite of software enables transtelephonic monitoring of arrhythmia and/or pacemaker implant patients, and provides acquisition, storage and display of ECG information.
