Freunde, Friends, Tovarishi...
It has been a year since I started this discussion group. Time to revamp the look and feel of this site.

PHILOSOPHY
I have decided to create a stock picking forum that represents an electic style of investing. I want to attract investors who like to
maintain **multiple investment/trading styles**. Not only should you maintain a portfolio of diverse stocks, I say you ned to have a combinaiton of investment theories. Relying on an single method can be hazardous to your mental health.
My original mission was to avoid the the negatives of other "personality cult" boards. As some of you may be aware, Internet trading personalities such as TokyoMexx are under investigation by the SEC. I am stating a fact, not offerring any judgement on whether he is guilty or innocent of stock manuipulation. The point is, I will not buy big positions in stocks than pressure you to buy at my signal.

This grouping is reflective of a old fashioned small cap value approach. Up to 1994, small cap value stocks have trounced the big cap stocks and index averages. But the "Index Fund Mania" has trounced small cap value the last 5 years. This proves my point that you should not rely on any single style of investing, unless you are as rich as Warren Buffet.

Wild Ass Speculation
techstocks.com
There is a momentum and/or speculative investor in all of us. This is America, where even the wildest dreams can come true. In this spirit, I am offerring some really crazy ideas. These are stocks that tap into potentially huge markets.

Franchise Dogs

You have heard of Dogs of the Dow? Well, this portfolio is devoted to any well know company, big or small, that has fallen on hard times. It is only a matter of time before...

Internet Value!

OK, the terms are contradictory. I have selected little known Internet companies, or old solid busienss that are making a migration to the Internet. These are companies that sell less than 6 times sales. So, they are less overvalued than overvalued Internet stocks <g>.

POSTING RULES:
1. If you want to proffer a stock pick, make the ticker symbol the topic line (first line of the
message).
2. Good short arguments are always welcome, as long as they are directed at stocks and not at people.
3. No personal attacks. However, brutal honesty or critiques are always welcome <g>.

So pull up a chair, grab a beer and a bratwurst, and let's make some profits.
