Yesterday, at the Mac Developers show, Steve Jobs demonstrated that Mac's new Sherlock search system will be automatically programmable to search all available etailers for a specific item, say Austin Powers on DVD. All your ordering info will be resident on your puter and you'll hit a button and buy the item where it is cheapest. Any ideas out there as to how and whether the ability to do this will affect the etail environment? Will we see significantly fewer or more etailers in two years?
