You've heard the offer: trade your privacy for a free pc/ but sacrifice *your* end first, of course, against the uncertain chance of being selected.
I've documented an active senior citizen who was 'selected' in first lucky group. Trouble is, after having endured ten weeks of no news from company, recipient was notified of good fortune out-of-the-blue, and required to accept by e-mail within 'hours' of being notified electronically.
Because of an overnight trip away from home, recipient was unable to respond as fast as demanded - couldn't get to library to check or send e-mails.
Company response: You snooze/you lose.
Question: Does something *smell* here?! Or just ethical business as usual, hightech style? Anybody else being victimized by Free-PC.com??
