Having just read the article on "automobile portals" in the July 99 issue of Wired, "The New Road Rage" p. 126 (article not yet on the net,) I am very interested in this area, as we Americans (and other nationalities, of course) spend a great deal of time in our cars. As captive eyeballs (well, maybe captive ears and other senses in this case,) the revenue from applications based on the open "automobile platform" should be significant in the future. This thread will explore investments based on this car portal concept (and not just GM.)
