Imagine, Create, Believe.
Today the IPO for Creo Products Inc. of Vancouver, BC was completed, and word has it that the issue was oversubscribed x10. Solomon Smith Barney was the lead underwriter for 5 million shares at US$15. Despite a 180 point drop on the day for the DJIA and a 65 point drop for NASDAQ, CREOV shares tradedas high as $24 before closing at $20 on over 5.5 million shares volume, a nice showing. Of course this pales when compared to the hot internet IPO's like Drugstore.com or MP3, but Creo has the dissadvantage of having PROFITS (yikes!). After years of anticipation by people who have watched and heard about this company, today was the day we finally where able to participate in their success; by becoming shareholders. Creo's hiring as many engineers as they can get. Creo Products (CREOV:NASDAQ, CEC.W:TSE) will take their place among others leaders in their respective industries like Electronic Arts (ERTS:NASDAQ), Quadra Logic (QLT:TSE, QLTI:NASDAQ), Ballard Power Systems (BLDP:NASDAQ, BLD:TSE) as one of the world class technology companies from the West Coast of Canada.
Mazeltov!
