We (2 couples) want to go to Oahu & Kauai (or just Kauai) in mid-March 2000. We're thinking about something cheap in Honolulu for 3 nights (just so the rest of the group can experience it) and then somewhere nice on Kauai for 4 nights. I've looked into packages and am finding prices of $1700 per person including air, hotel, and car. Then I found a 2 BR cottage near Poipu that looks great, but we'd have to get air on our own (the cheapest I've found is $937) and that's bringing us back to the $1700 per person cost. Any suggestions for hotels, B&Bs, or cottages on either Oahu or Kauai or lower airfare? THANKS!
