This thread will rely on the following hypothetical premise...
#1)Au skyrockets to over $500/oz
#2)Producers that have hedged are toast
#2)Junior exploration companies with great properties and small producers that have no hedging go ballistic in price
Let's find the best unhedged small producers and exploration companies that already have proven results. We want maximum leverage and want to avoid the uncertainty of the large producers and their forward sales.
With exploration companies we need to know...
#1)How much capital they have
#2)What are their proven reserves (if any) and/or what are the prospects for their properties
#3)Are they reliant on a JV with a large producer that might be in trouble with their hedging.
Independent cash rich juniors with great properties and some proven reserves is the goal here. We don't want companies with no proven drilling results.
With small/intermediate producers we need to know...
#1)Their hedging program
#2)Their proven reserves and how their reserves increase if there is $500 gold
