This is a consolidating industry. Players identified: American Tower Systems (AMT), Crown Castle International (TWRS), Pinnacle (BIGT), SBA Communications (SBAC), Spectrasite (SITE). All are buying existing towers from telecom companies to assemble national portfolios of tower properties and leasing tower space back to same telecom companies. Additional tower space available for other telecoms provides the upside opportunity. National portfolio of tower space will appeal to growing wireless players and new entrants.
