Globalstar and Iridium seem to be the main contenders. Inmarsat is getting its house in order. Others are making plans too.

Cellphones via satellite, with built in GPS will give universal coverage at reasonable price. Globalstar and Iridium are proceeding as planned. Cellphone markets are increasing hugely. Iridium and Globalstar have the money mostly lined up.

Which is the best bet for investors? Globalstar is satellites only. Iridium is part of bigger companies. What about Loral Space?

Globalstar has gone from $12 to $50 in a few months as confidence has grown and success seems assured.
