Helmstar Group's merchant banking activities are primarily concentrated on real estate projects, technology and consulting services. An intriguing venture that will go public in early 2000 is their e-recruiting subsidiary called CareerEngine.com .

As a vertically integrated specialist site, CareerEngine intends to generate revenue by listing job postings, advertising and revenue sharing arrangements. In May 1999 they announced a deal with America Online's Digital City to post jobs from its websites to their employment network and have had numerous other press releases announcing partnerships, new executives and advertising campaigns.
