From Hoover's Online -

Unlike that grocery cart wheel with a mind of its own, HomeGrocer.com wants to make your shopping easier. The home delivery service offers grocery products, including the basics (dairy, meat, packaged foods, produce) and other items (alcohol, books, flowers, office supplies) via its Web site. It delivers from its warehouses to customers in Seattle; Portland, Oregon; and Southern California. Orders over $75 aren't charged delivery fees. Launched in 1998, the company caught the interest of one of its early customers, Jeff Bezos, CEO of bookseller Amazon.com. HomeGrocer.com later received financial backing from Amazon.com (it now owns 28%) and Kleiner Perkins (13%), among others. It plans to expand nationally.
