3) Discussion about Linux in the US and China:
While the USA with some 250 Millions inhabitants is getting near saturation point with computers and the Internet, China is near ground Zero with 1.3 Billion people. It's widely recognized that China will, in less than 5 Years be the dominant World market for the Internet and related equipment. In addition, there is every indication that the Chinese Government favors Linux operating system over Microsoft, as there is no expensive licensing fees involved, saving foreign exchange. In addition, China has large numbers of qualified programmers who can freely work with, improve and develop new applications for Linux.
Below is a Link about the two American Leaders in Linux, RHAT and LNUX. On the day of its IPO, VA Linux opened at $30.00 and reached a high of around $320.00. While not suggesting BLPT will follow the same pattern, it's clear that Leaders in a Hot technology sector often seem to be favored by the markets.
