Gnutella free share ware was developed by disident employees of Aol. Aol was so threathened that they knocked the link to the Gnutella shareware off Aols network, but not in time. College kids copied it and started a music mp3 sharing community. Gnutella stores info by breaking it up in small packets and stores them on any ones system. The software works like a hunting dog, it will search every storage disc on anyone connected on the network untill it finds what you asked for. All at the speed of light. Lets get a discussion going on this topic. I have been unable to find a link to the shareware so far Can anyone help? |
