Return to Firsthand Funds - Month by Month Comparisons

Firsthand Funds:
firsthandfunds.com

Briefing for activity 02/29 - 03/31. Note changes could have occurred on any date in that time frame. Some procurement of IPO shares may have happened at a much lower cost basis on a pre market allotment.

TIFQX:
Note the increase, decrease or hold in share quantities for GNSS, SAGI and SIMG who appear to be competitors.
siliconinvestor.com

SAGI (IPO in Nov) initial 205,000. Dec + 560,000, Jan & Feb hold, Mar -268,300, balance = 496,700 or 1.1% of assets. Note all shares of SAGI sold in Value fund (100,000) also acquired in Nov.

SIMG (IPO in Oct) initial purchase in Nov 200,000. Dec + 119,000, Jan + 107,000, Feb + 47,400, Mar hold, balance = 473,400 or 3.3% of assets. Note all shares of SMIG sold in Value fund (200,000) also acquired in Nov.

GNSS initial purchase in Feb 99 of 5,000 shares. Apr + 20,000, Jul + 95,000, Aug + 97,500, Nov + 100,000, Dec + 237,000, Jan + 25,000, Mar +652,000 (all other months are hold). Balance = 1,232,000 or 2.6% of assets. Also equals 10% of float? Note also holds 97,500 shares in Value fund.

What can we conclude from the activity of these three? Is it safe to say that Firsthand sees GNSS as the eventual leader? Should we be accumulating and or AIMing this stock?
Your comments and thoughts are appreciated?

Other Activity:
ZRAN = 918,100 or 5.1% of assets (about 8% of float). 400,000 shares added in Mar. Buying opportunities may present themselves below $40?

CCRD = 504,500 or 1.8% of assets (about 4% of float). 70,000 shares added in Mar. It may have bottomed and I show it under valued at the present price?

VNWK = 225,750 or 1.3% of assets (about 1.6% of float). 25,750 shares added in Mar. It may be under valued at current price. Take a hard look at customer base.

SLNK = 299,950 or .5% of assets (about 8% of float). 29,350 shares added in Mar. I would be careful with this one. May be a buy in the $10 range?

Disclaimer - I own GNSS, CCRD, SLNK & each of the Firsthand Funds.

As I have time to evaluate the changes in each of the FirstHand Funds on a month to month basis, I will post the data on this Thread Header in hopes of promoting discussion and group DD. FWIW
